About Gilbert

Gilbert has made rugby balls since 1823, when William Gilbert, a shoemaker, supplied balls to Rugby School in England. It has been the official ball of every Rugby World Cup since 1995, according to World Rugby, and its partnership with World Rugby now runs to 2033.

Trinity College Kandy is well known for its school rugby, and we are grateful to the college for welcoming Gilbert and Ralhum Sports into its 2026 season.
